Padre Jose has built up a very active and mission-oriented parish. The local Roman Catholic priest stopped by one day to find out the secret to their success, because no one was showing up at the RC church and Padre Jose’s parish is filled to capacity. They’ve converted the parish hall into an elder housing facility and the lower parish hall into an After School Program, and a couple of times a year they host a medical clinic. They also have an environmental ministry, using recycled garbage as construction material for housing. Padre Jose continues to develop projects, and is looking forward to hosting a mission team from Massachusetts in February 2014.
